# Suggested replies: a reply to start from, in every conversation

> Agentiv now suggests a few different replies to each candidate conversation on LinkedIn and email. Pick the one you mean, edit it, and send it yourself.

Areas: Inbox

More than 100 people have written me recommendations on LinkedIn, and most of them say the same things: I went the extra mile, I was always available, I was honest with them. None of that is a talent. It's time. Time to answer a question the moment it comes up, instead of at the end of a long day.

Most good recruiters would do that for every candidate. They just don't have the time. So we built suggested replies into the Agentiv inbox.

## What it does

Connect your LinkedIn and email, and candidate conversations land in one inbox. When someone writes to you and it's your turn to reply, Agentiv reads the conversation and suggests a reply at the bottom of the thread.

- **Two or three different answers, not one.** Each suggestion is a different stance, with a short label on a chip: Interested or Not interested, Yes or Not yet, Share the range or Book a call. Click a chip and the suggested text changes.
- **It puts the reply in the box, and that's all.** Click the reply and it goes into the message box. You edit it, or rewrite it, and you hit send. Nothing goes out on its own.
- **It answers what was actually said.** If they asked a question, the suggestions answer it. If not, they move the conversation one step forward: a question, a next step, a time.
- **It fits the channel.** A LinkedIn message gets one to three sentences. An email gets a couple of short paragraphs.
- **It sounds like you.** Plain and warm, without "I hope this finds you well". Agentiv uses what you've told it about yourself, so the suggestions read like you on a good day.

## What it won't do

- **It won't make things up.** Agentiv doesn't invent salaries, dates or decisions. If something isn't decided, the suggestion says so.
- **It won't reply to things that don't need a reply.** Automated messages and closed loops get no suggestion.
- **It won't send anything.** That stays with you. It's in our [manifesto](/manifesto): people decide, and agents prepare the work.

## What's next

Suggestions will draw on your workspace. When a candidate asks about the salary, the range on the job should already be in the reply, ready for you to check and send. That's the point of having AI inside the place you hire: quick, true answers from your own data.

WhatsApp is next too. A lot of the best candidate conversations I've had happened there, so it matters to me that it sits in the same inbox, with the same suggestions.

If a suggestion ever misses the mark, tell us. It goes straight to the people who built it.
