# Agentiv now runs on Google Cloud

> We moved the whole of Agentiv to Google Cloud in the Netherlands: the app, the background workers, the database and this site. Your data stays in the EU, and nothing changes in how you use Agentiv.

This month we moved all of Agentiv onto Google Cloud. The app, the agents that run in the background, the database and agentiv.md now all live in one place, in Google Cloud's Netherlands region.

If you use Agentiv, you shouldn't have noticed anything. That was the point.

## What moved

- **The app.** agentiv.app runs on Cloud Run, Google's managed service for running web apps.
- **The background workers.** The agents that source, schedule, draft and sync run as their own workers next to the app, so a long job never slows the screen you're on.
- **The database.** Your data sits in a managed Postgres database (Cloud SQL).
- **This site.** agentiv.md moved too, and it updates whenever we ship.

## Your data stays in the EU

Agentiv's data was already hosted in the Netherlands, and it still is. Everything runs in Google Cloud's europe-west4 region. Candidate data is stored in Europe and used to hire, never to advertise. That's in our [manifesto](/manifesto) and it doesn't change with a move.

## Why we moved

Running a recruiting product means running a lot of small jobs all day: calendar syncs, interview transcripts, emails, searches. We wanted all of that on one platform we can watch and scale properly, rather than spread across several providers.

Google Cloud also lets us run AI models in the EU, right next to your data. We're putting that to work over the coming weeks, and we'll write it up here when it ships.

## How we ship now

Every change goes to a staging copy of Agentiv first, which only our own team can open. Once it's been put through its paces there, the same build goes to production. If something goes wrong, we can roll back to the previous version in minutes.

It's a small company with a grown-up release process, and that's how we want it.
